The great thing about going Ligai Si Anii was the cultural aspect. It was going through with John and hearing about how he used to drive down this road to see his grandfather, what it was like 30 years ago, what it was like to chase sheep over 15 square miles of his family’s land while he was only five years old. We got to learn about what plants were used for medicine, and interactions with other families in the area. Very intimate look at what life would have been like in the late 90s.
